Spring Fashion Update

Here's a little insight into what's new for Spring at Johnston's:

Women’s fashions:
Spring has arrived with some new trends. Scarves have become a must-have assessory from solids to prints. This must have is now worn for fun, not comfort. “Boyfriend” jackets are another - with slouchiness and comfort they can be dressed up or down. Spring is always a good time to wear a dress. From nautical to floral prints, be it fitted to loose, a dress is always a great alternative to a pant.

Men’s fashions:
The 2 button suit and sport coat are growing stronger over other styles. The button stance is about 2 inches higher and is combined with side or center vents. The look is getting slimmer. Double reverse pleats is still the major style for trousers, however flat front slacks are now 25% of our sales. And single pleated slacks are replacing a major portion of the double pleat sales. We look for this trend to continue. The growth of flat front and single pleats will continue into Fall of 2010.

Exciting Stuff

This is my very first blog! I am looking forward to communicating with our customers about what they like and don't like about our store, our staff and our clothing.
